I had the pleasure of using Lion Brand’s Feels Like Butta yarn for this project.  It’s beyond soft and a dream to work with.  I love the definition it gave the cables. It’s a thinner worsted weight yarn so it worked up well using a smaller 3.75mm crochet hook to make the cables tighter.  This velvety yarn comes in a variety of colours and you can check it out HERE

This design was inspired by a pattern I created waaaay back when I was just starting out in 2014.  The Camdyn Cable Cowl used a bulky weight yarn but the cable design is the same.  I just love the way we can use a crochet hook to make knit look cables in a jiffy.

I highly recommend a faux fur pom pom for this toque.  I used one from Rainbow Designs – you can get it HERE.  I’ve tried making poms with Feels Like Butta yarn in the past and they turned out a little too dense.  They didn’t hold the round fluffy look well . . the yarn was almost pliable and when squished it stayed squished.  You may have better luck than I did but I just wanted to share my experience.

This is unfortunately not a beginner friendly design.  I think an intermediate or experienced crocheter would be best suited to the cable work and some of the trickier steps.  I wanted to make this pattern as easy to follow as possible so I’ve included a lot of step by step pictures, a chart, and of course an HD video tutorial on YouTube.  I hope you find everything helpful and that you enjoy working up this design.  I’m so grateful for your feedback and truly appreciate every like, share, purchase, and comment!
