I really enjoyed working with Lion Brand’s 14/7 Cotton Yarn on this project. It was my first time working with their cotton and I was SO impressed! It’s soft but still sturdy and the way it’s woven gives your stitches great definition. I honestly can’t wait to use it again! The stitch used in this design is similar to the one used in my Hunter Heart Hat pattern. It’s called the ‘Half Double Stitch‘ (although, if you know it by another name please let me know) and it allows the stitches in each round to line up directly on top of one another without the bulk of front/back post stitches. I love it! It’s great for graphic designs!
I wanted to keep this design as beginner friendly as possible so very few stitches are used, the straps are super simple, and the pattern includes a video tutorial in addition to the written instructions and pictures below.
